Cracked hands. Cracked feet. Cracked legs.Let the lotion wars begin. Sigh. Only 200 days 'til summer.
Grey winters day

I was feeling inspired by the snowstorm we had yesterday so I thought I'd
go for a drive and take a few pictures. All images were taken in Seabrook,

OK, get some "bag balm". It's what farmers use. Put it on all those dry places. Right now!
That's what I was thinking Jan! Or Vaseline. They both work wonders. Better than any lotion ever will.
Put vaseline on hands at nite, put a pair of cotton gloves on. You will have smooth and soft hands in the morning. This is what my Grandma did and she had the softest hands.
I used vitamin E oil at night for my son's cracked hands. It worked for him. So did "bag balm". They use it on the cow udders, I think!
Hula...
You have to send me your address. Your email button isn't working by the way...the email was rejected. Really, they have THE VERY BEST cream in the world here in Spain. My fingers used to crack before I came here as well. Let me tell you, this stuff leaves bag balm in the dust...Your hands will be significantly improved in DAYS....omg I sound like an info-mercial. Hula, let me send you some. It will make such a difference.
Cheers Oreneta
OUCH!:) You poor thing! It looks like all of your comments have some very useful advice. I hope their ideas help you, Hula!
God Bless,
Amy:)
I hear ya! And to make matters worse, it snowed here last night so it is even dryer. Ugh.
Ouch! I get those on my fingers and thumbs. Soooo painful.
Oh my, but that does look painful. As I can't get "bag balm" (awesome stuff) here and Vaseline is few and far between...I have relied on something my mom told me about a few years ago and it works so nicely!
Mix equal parts olive oil and sugar and massage it into the dry places....I do this before I take a bath so I can soak my hands in the nice hot water a bit before soaping it off.
It's amazing how well this works...I use it on my nasty heels...smooth as a baby's butt in a few days!!
