Friday: Winter Storm Watch. Windy, cold and wet with 1 to 3 inches of snow. Wind chill of 34 degrees.
Friday night: 1 to 3 MORE inches of blowing snow. Low in the 20’s.
Saturday: Breezy and cold. Wind chill of 25 degrees.
You know, something like this…
Here’s what I’m hearing: Blah, blah, blah, sunny and warm….blah, blah, blah, UV index of 34…blah, blah, blah, heat advisory…blah, blah, blah, light southerly breezes.
You know, something like this….
Jiminy Cricket! It’s going to be ugly at 6am Saturday. I’ll have to layer up and peal off as I warm up…if I warm up. Thank the Lord for Under Armor. I went to Wal-Mart to buy a new sock cap since my old one is stretched out. The only ones I could find had NASCAR emblems on them. Nice. I finally dug a plain, black one out of the 70 cent clearance bin. There are two positives I see in this mess. Number one-I’ll have to move faster to stay warm (and to avoid all that snot slinging), so my time might be better than anticipated. Number two-I’m so slow some 300 runners should be ahead of me knocking the snow off the trails for me. Remind me again why I thought this would be fun.

I don't know of any good reason to haul myself out of a warm bed on a Saturday morning - especially not to get all bundled up and head out into 25 degree weather (with the wind chill) and go for a run. I think we should rethink your mental stability. ;-)
Be sure to take your Charmin To Go roll with you, and hand sanitizer...At least you would be a little better prepared for the slinging snot.:)
Oh my - you should come to NH to run - our forecast is better than yours. Okay, I'm lying, it's about the same. I'll think of you when I finally roll out of bed.
I think you're right, laura b.
I'll be sitting by the fire sipping hot chocolate thinking that you probably have frozen snot on your face.
Do it hula, come on you know you want to, go for it....
Don't do it hula, are you crazy? stay home warm and relaxed....
That was my good cop/bad cop routine : )
Ohohohohoh...I'll be thinking of you...won't it be graet to finish! This will be a story you can dine out on for a while...you'll definately get 'tough' points for it...
If it helps your motivation, our high today is 5. That's all we get. So temps in the 20s and 30s sound heavenly to me. It's all relative, isn't it?
Thanks for stopping by my blog, by the way. Besides the beach-loving thing, we also share Kentucky. I spent the first few years of my life there.
